Hailing from South Africa, Jonathan is a designer working at the intersection of technology, media, and social justice. A co-founder and the President of SameSame, Jonathan is responsible for strategy, product design, and partnerships.

When he’s not working on SameSame, Jonathan supports product innovation at Girl Effect, where he was previously Chief Creative and Programmes Officer, leading a global team of art directors, scriptwriters, software developers, researchers, and program managers. Collaborating across disciplines, countries, and cultures, his team creates brands, content, and products that inform, inspire, and equip girls and young women, from serialized radio dramas to chatbots. 

Before joining Girl Effect, he worked with a wide range of both private-sector and non-profit organisations, including Diageo, Unilever, Coca-Cola, Save the Children, Brac, UNICEF, UNFPA, Facebook, and the Ford Foundation, launching large-scale digital experiences and platforms that have reached over 50 million people in more than 40 countries.
