Codie is a queer woman of color and a founding member and the Head of Technology at SameSame. She also works as a senior software engineer for a non-profit during the day and a Formula One radio presenter on the weekends. She has worked on software engineering projects for the WHO, Girl Effect, VillageReach, White Ribbon Alliance, and many more. She is well-versed in the technology required to build and maintain a successful chatbot at scale.

Codie studied Computer Science and Computer Games Development and Design at the University of Cape Town and also obtained a certificate in product management from UCT. She has run several successful workshops to teach women in South Africa how to code, but the worst part about her is her taste in music. If she is not belting out Celine Dion music all day, she’s practicing classical music on the piano.
